UPDATE: Horse Sign in Glencoe

August 7th UPDATE: They asked us to remove the mare and colt because people were calling to complain that the horse was skinny. After the vet arrived and, again, assured them the horse was fine, they went across the street to let the neighbor know she could quit calling them. However, in order to make our lives less stressful (our dad is home with hospice due to cancer) we decided to move the mare and colt. We have spent way too much time explaining that the horses are fine and under a vet's care. Basically, we had to leave our dad for 4 hours to make everyone else happy. We were under no legal obligation move them, but at this time we do not have the time to waste dealing with ignorant people. The horses will return!

We are staying with our parents due to my dad's cancer. He has days to weeks to live and we want to spend as much time with him as possible. Also, my mom needs our help. He is weak and she can't get him up alone. Anyone who values the life of an animal over the life of a human needs to consider his or her priorities. And yes, we have previously explained the situation to the neighbor. She chooses to continue to harass the police with phone calls. She has chosen a course of ignorance instead of common sense.
